What is your definition of success?
Success is creating self-sustaining systems and process that enable individuals and organizations to reach their goals. I know that I have been successful when individuals can succeed without continuous input from me.

Are you a team player, or individual contributor?
I always focus my influence on working through others. The secret to my success in business has been aligning people and processes to meet organizational goals. Trying to do that individually has not been fruitful; but creating a broad understanding of the problems to be solved, and goals to achieve, allows more creativity and energy to applied to the solution. Teams are definitely my strength.

Describe your management style.
Working from an overall vision of where the company is going and how it will succeed, I focus my resources on effectively communicating that vision and strategy and aligning the people's individual goals to achieve that strategy. I am decisive and clear when making decisions, but will first ask questions to make sure that all involved understand the implications of the decision being made. Most importantly, I enjoy what I do and want the team that I am working with to enjoy it to. Consequently, I often use humor and surprise to lighten the mood and provide perspective.

How are you distinctive? What makes you stand out from others with similar skills and experience?
There are three things that distinguish me from many others with similar skills and experiences, my passion and energy, my ability to communicate and motivate and the breadth of my experience.

To create a vision and effectively communicate it requires passion and emotional commitment to the task, it also requires hard work and a motor that doesn't quit. Past teams have appreciated the energy and enthusiasm that I bring to the office and they can feed off of that, bringing themselves to new levels of commitment and achievement. These teams have succeeded in a wide range of settings, new product development, mergers and acquisitions, operations, marking and sales, and more. This range of experience brings credibility and competence with professionals in each of the key departments in an organization.
